Graphic Analysis for process control
This program offers the supervisor instant access to the historical records on any process stored in the GSPC system. The search starts out by picking a process, selecting the date range, (optionally the time/shift range) and setting any conditions required. Depending on the speed of your server, the search function pulls 30 to 100 records per second to qualify them. Only records in the date range you specified are looked at, so generally in less than a minute, you can have the results of thousands of data points on your graph. Once searched, all the process tests (carbon, silicon, etc for a melting process) can be instantly graphed: no further searching required.
Graphic Analysis Search tool
Here you see a seach over a month with 117 records found for some base iron. Search time under 5 seconds.
Graphic Analysis conditions
In addition, you can add conditions to limit records found. A common search might be for all samples that were out of range.
X-bar graphic, one point selected
A Shewart graph is shown of the chemistry data (grouping should not be done on this kind of data as the data is accurate, but the process is constantly changing. Email us if you don't understand. Here a single point is selected to display values. One or more points can be selected then the following 'right-click' tool can be used on the data:
X-bar graphic right-click tool
- Delete Selections: In SPC you can exclude points based on if corrective actions were taken (such as heat put on hold or corrected). You may also want to eliminate screwups to see what your capabiity would be if it hadn't happened. Excluded points are removed from the graph, but not the data base.
- Undo Selections: Clear the list of elected points (do noting but remove the circles).
- Restore deletes: restore any deleted points from the search. Does not restore points eliminated by search conditions.
- Zoom to Selections: If you select only two points, the data between those points, inclusive of those points becomes the new graph.
- Unzoom: restore the original search.
- Copy Graph: This places the current graph on your clipboard. The same command can be done with the Ctrl-C key combination or by the menu command.
Right-click options explained
Histogram with statistics
The histogram can optionally show a curve of a normal distribution based on the process range. Indepth data is shown to right.
Multiple x-bar graphs of same process and same time period
Multiple pages of different variables can be organized with one to eight graphs per page. Pages can be printed or copied to another document. Color and type of graph can be selected
Indepth search tool statics
Indepth statistis on each variable found in search is displayed here. To change variables just pull down the variable box or click the down or up arrow next to it.
Overall process statistics
Here the general statistics for all test variables are displayed. Table can be copied and pasted into another doucument.
Data results from search
Here the data from every record found in the search is displayed. You can copy the data here and paste into MS Excel or any other program that can accept tab delimated data.
